Banana hair food
Having previously tried the Macadamia flavoured hair food, and the Goji one, I thought I would try another flavour in the range. The Banana one is labelled as “nourishing”. This hair food claims that it: “Deeply hydrates and repairs, for soft and healthy hair. Nourish hair with no weigh down.” The Garnier hair food claims to be 98% of natural origin and to not contain any: parabens, silicones, or artificial colourants. The label also says it can be used as a conditioner, a mask, or as a leave-in treatment.
The hair food comes in a big 390ml tub. The Banana one has a yellow label on a cream-coloured plastic tub with a yellow lid. The lid is easy to unscrew. The product itself is a thick, creamy-coloured cream. It has a very pleasant and yummy banana scent! It is easy to apply: all you have to do is dip your hands into it, scoop out some product, and massage it into your hair. It rinses out well too.
I have very fine, dry hair. Something that nourishes my hair without weighing it down is ideal. Because I want maximum moisture without added weight, so far I have only used this as a conditioner or hair mask, but it has been working very well. Not only does it smell delicious, but it has been leaving my hair feeling intensely hydrated, softer and smoother looking. You do not need to apply much product either, and with such a large tub, it is great value for money.

Brilliant!
The Garnier Nourishing Banana Hair Food is seriously the best thing ever. I have dry curly hair and this keeps my hair in check! I use it as a leave in conditioner and honestly my hair feels so soft and refreshed. This is something I always have to have on hand. My daughter has hair that can get really knotty and it’s also brilliant for her, it helps stop those tantrums when she gets her hair brushed. The smell is amazing as well. I love that it can be used as a normal conditioner as well as a leave in.

This was the best hair mask in the range. I really loved the container, it was so easy to use and easy to store in my shower. The smell was so lovely and I got a few compliments that my hair smelled great after a shower, drying and styling. It definitely does nourish your hair, I could feel a significant different between when I started using the product and when I ran out of it. If I was going to buy any of the range again, it would be this one. I love the yellow packaging and branding is on point as always with Garnier range- its just fun.

I have curly hair that needs that extra moisture and hydration and this is a great product. it is easily available at multiple store and at a reasonable price point. Not to mention the smell. its amazing and sweet. Multiple people will come up and compliment you. The consistency is thick which is good since it makes it easy to form a cast over your hair. This product would probably work on straight hair if you would like but it mainly works well on curly hair i believe. Defiantly go buy it works wonders for your hair, and be ready to see deratic changes.

I use this everyday in my hair!
I use this in my hair everyday either in the shower as my conditioner or if I have extra time as a hair mask, it is also really good as a leave in treatment or used as the last product when styling my hair to help moisturise and keep flyaways nice and neat. The Garnier Hair Food Nourishing Banana for Dry Hair is white in colour and is of a light to medium consistency I like that for a multi use product as this allows you to be able to use it multiple ways. It smells absolutely divine it reminds me of the banana shaped lollies I was obsessed with as a child. The hair food comes it a bright yellow and white tub which really stands out with the cookies and the way it is packaged in the large tub. I would recommend this hair food to everyone.

Was lucky enough to receive this in the Beauty Heaven Best in Beauty 2021 prize pack and I have only just emptied the product this month!
Incredible value for money with 3 in 1 use, and the scent is delightful! Very reminiscent of banana lollies, you can easily imagine you’re on a tropical island while washing your hair.
I primarily used Banana Hair Food as a conditioner, on my dry, straight hair. As the product is super thick a little goes a long way. It left my hair soft, tangle-free and smelling delicious. I would recommend having a play around with the product to determine if it suits you best as a conditioner or mask.

Left my hair dry
I thought I would try this product as I know how wonderful Garnier are at their product smells and blends.
I have dry hair and when I saw these lined up at my local Coles at a lower price point I grabbed one.
Nourishing banana sounded like it would be great for my hair. Unfortunately it did not nourish my dry hair ( dyed blonde for years now so quite dry ) it actually made it feel dry and tangled.
I was looking forward to a mask to replenish so nutrients into my hair.
The smell is amazing and I definitely feel it wasn’t too much.
The packaging was a nice big tub however hard to navigate in the shower.
I wouldn’t but this particular blend again but would be willing to maybe try a different mix.
